The BCCI had not confirmed this but a latest news is coming out that (The Srilanka Board)
had offer to host IPL 2020 in Sri Lanka .
On this matter,Shammi Silva, the president of Sri Lanka’s cricket board, told “Apparently it will cost the BCCI and its stakeholders more than $500 million to cancel the IPL. If they play it in Sri Lanka, it’s easy for Indian audiences to watch the games on TV. There’s precedent for this because they’ve played the IPL in South Africa before. We’re waiting for the Indian board to respond to our proposal.”

Shammi Silva, the president of Sri Lankan Board, offer because the Corona Virus or COVID-19 in the country is stable and also the fans would see the IPL on T.V.
If IPL will be held in Sri Lanka,it will be good news for IPL fans as well as BCCI (Board of control for cricket in India).

In this case, Shammi Silva also said "It look like that Sri Lanka will out of Corona Virus pandemic".
There will be chance of IPL 2020 in Sri Lanka because the COVID-19 or Corona Virus pandemic in India is out of control and left a very less chance to host IPL in India.
